Deep tissue massage
This treatment involves working on the muscle fibres at a deep level. This can sometimes be uncomfortable, even painful but the benefits to the muscles and joints are immense. Muscles love to shorten and contract, especially injured muscles. Very often certain fibres within the muscles get knotted and matted together. Deep tissue massage works to break down these knots and adhesions. This stretches the restricted fibres returning ease and flexibility to the muscle thereby increasing range of movement and improving functionality.
